Come

Let us be calm
in the view of things
that are to come.

Let us close our eyes,
so that we do not err,
and learn to see.

"Come" is not just a collection of diverse poetry but a composition of poems in the four chapters "I", "ASK" "SAY" and "PRAY". Every chapter is a poem in itself. The author sees himself in the chapter "I" as man at the sea. He puts some troubling questions concerning our time in the chapter "Ask". He answers these questions with his poetic visions of the great Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in tne chapter "Say". What must men do to participate in that beautiful event? This is the subject of the last chapter "Pray".

Der Autor hat Ökonomie, Philosophie und Theologie an der Universität des Saarlandes studiert, war als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Forschung und als Dozent in der beruflichen Bildung tätig. Nach Renteneintritt verlagerte sich sein Schwerpunkt mehr auf philosophische und theologische Themen. Er ist Mit-Initiator des Café Philo in Chemnitz, 2015 erhielt er den Preis der Jury beim Philosophy Slam, Chemnitz. 2017 publizierte er zusammen mit Thea Johannsson "Spielregeln der Gesellschaft". In der vorliegenden Arbeit verbindet er seinen ökonomischen, philosophischen und theologischen Sachverstand.
