Über den Autor

Dwight Goddard (1861–1939) was an enigmatic wealthy engineer that decided to become a Christian minister and eventually revealed the pearls of Buddhism to the Christian world. He learned Buddhism during his travels to China and Japan and got inspired by Buddhist ideas. In the United States, he tried to form groups of Buddhist followers and published a periodical about Buddhism. Although his attempts to establish Buddhist centers were not fruitful, his book, The Buddhist Bible, became one of the most prominent books on Buddhism in the United States.
