Über den Autor
Dr. Tim Reichel, born in 1988, is an author, scientist, coach, and entrepreneur from Germany. After completing his high-school diploma, he studied Business Administration and Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University and afterwards stayed on at the university to earn his PhD. He supervises industry-related research projects and addresses the topics of sustainability and resource efficiency. He completed his PhD at the Faculty of Georesources and Materials Engineering in September 2018.
In addition, Tim works as an academic advisor and coordinator of the examining board. In the process, he coaches students, advises them on difficulties in their studies, writes examination regulations, and accompanies accreditation procedures. In June 2014, he founded his first enterprise, Studienscheiss. By launching this platform, he supports millions of students and people interested in education throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to study happily and successfully in order to get along well in the world of work later on.
In his blog, Tim regularly publishes articles about time management, motivation, and personal development. There, he also gives tips on how to get a grip on a stressful everyday life, work with focus, and proactively shape your life. By now, more than 300 articles have been published and read by over five million people.
In 2016, Tim published his first book: Bachelor of Time. This modern guidebook has been sold more than 25,000 copies since. Further books (for example, Busy is the new stupid — an award-winning German bestseller) followed. In 2019, his most successful work up to now, the German 24/7 Time Management, was published. The “time management book for all those who don’t have time to read time management books” became a standard work in relevant categories of non-fiction books and enjoys great popularity.
Since September 2020, Tim writes a column for the news magazine Der Spiegel. In the university column, Bachelor of Smarts, he gives advice to problems in studying, and helps enable students get through their bachelor’s degree successfully. His articles focus on tips for productive ways of working and ideal exam preparation. In addition to his writing and publishing activities, Tim works as a speaker and consultant. For this purpose, the “master of time management” offers lectures, seminars, and trainings on the topics of time management, self-organization, new work, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
