He did not neglect to clarify the foundations upon which the Prophet relied in spreading the principles of Islamic advocacy, which made the book receive great praise and wide appreciation from the scholars of Islamic thought upon its appearance.

أمين الريحاني، مفكر وأديب وروائي لبناني، ومن أبرز الشخصيات الرائدة في مجال الإصلاح الاجتماعي والفكر العربي خلال الفترة الممتدة بين أواخر القرن التاسع عشر وأوائل القرن العشرين. لقب بالريحاني نسبة إلى الريحان الذي كان يحيط بمنزله. أبدع الريحاني في مجموعة متنوعة من الأجناس الأدبية مثل الشعر، الرواية، المقال، المسرح، السير الذاتية، وأدب الرحلات، بالإضافة إلى تأليفه في مجالات معرفية أخرى مثل الفلسفة، التاريخ، الاقتصاد، الاجتماع، والجغرافيا. كان أيضًا رسام كاريكاتير وممثل. عرف بمسيرته النضالية ضد الاحتلال الفرنسي ودعمه لاستقلال لبنان، مستخدمًا ثقافته الموسوعية في الدفاع عن قضايا وطنه. تُوفِّي الريحاني عام 1940، تاركًا وراءه إرثًا أدبيًا وعلميًا غزيرًا.
