Islam and Arab civilization
Über das eBook
In this book of ours, Muhammad Kurd Ali takes a three-pronged approach: he cites, then refutes, then confirms and clarifies. In it, he mentions the criticism of the critics, the prejudice of most Orientalists, and the falsity of the populists. He responds to this statement and to that statement, and shows his error, his bad vision, and the clarity of his smugness. He discusses most of their issues and details them as much as possible, leaving it up to you in the end to achieve the truth, whatever it may be, and regardless of the hand that holds it. He ends with this and begins with a statement. He deals with the history of the Arabs from before Islam and then during it. He talks about some of their customs, trade, wealth, sciences, and aspects of their lives. He discusses their Arabicness, its characteristics, and its impact on eastern and western languages, and for a more detailed explanation, he compares the state of the Arab countries with the state of the Frankish countries in some eras. He presents what the former left in the countries of the latter and the effects they spread in their countries in various areas, as in Sicily, Andalusia, and the borders of France. Then he comes to some of the Crusades, then to the raids of the Mongols and the Turks and their sabotage, and the raids of the colonists on the Arab countries, and he leaves this to be occupied with the doctrines of Islam, its groups, and its sciences. It studies its administration in historical order, then its politics, and concludes with a confrontation of politics between the East and the West and criticizes the policy of the Turks at that time.
