Mohamed Ali

Muhammad Ali Pasha is considered the founder of the modern Egyptian state at the beginning of the nineteenth century AD. He chronicles the modern history of Egypt starting with his assuming rule of the country in 1805 AD, based on the Egyptian people's choice of him after he overthrew his predecessor, Khurshid Pasha.
