Harun al-Rashid, the most famous Abbasid caliph, shines in the memory of history not only because of the stories woven around him in "One Thousand and One Nights," but also because of the remarkable scientific and literary renaissance that his era witnessed. In this book, the author reviews the golden times of Harun al-Rashid, when he enriched the councils with the presence of poets, writers, and scholars, and the Islamic State witnessed a boom in foreign trade and expanded political relations with the kingdoms of Europe, which was reflected in the precious gifts he gave to Emperor Sharman, demonstrating the sophistication of Arab civilization. أحمد أمين، شخصية فكرية بارزة في النصف الأول من القرن العشرين، وُلد في القاهرة عام 1886. تخرج في الأزهر ثم انتقل للتدريس في عدة مدارس قبل أن يتولى منصب مدرس بمدرسة القضاء الشرعي. اشتهر بأعماله الفكرية التي تجمع بين النقد الأدبي والفلسفة والتاريخ، وقد أسهم في تجديد الفكر الإسلامي. اختير لتدريس النقد الأدبي بكلية الآداب بجامعة القاهرة في 1926، وأصبح عميدًا للكلية لاحقًا. برز من خلال موسوعته عن الحضارة الإسلامية التي شملت "فجر الإسلام" و"ضحى الإسلام" و"ظهر الإسلام". توفي عام 1954، تاركًا إرثًا فكريًا ثريًا يُعتبر مرجعًا في الأدب والفلسفة الإسلامية.
