Virgin land

The author of this novel, Ivan Turgenev, is one of the greatest Russian writers who was able to explain to the whole world that terrible talisman, that is, modern Russia. Indeed, from the point of view of art, the skill of photography, and the painterly brush of the book, he is the greatest of them all, and in his prose it flows in a language clearer than Poetry became more delicate, and he always suffered in his youth from the imaginative spirit that dominated the literature of his people. So he adopted a new style, which was the style of describing facts as they really are. Then he overlaid this style with his inspiration and the eloquence of his pen, which made his truth more wonderful than imagination.
This novel, "The Virgin Land," is one of Turgenev's greatest novels, and it is his gospel with which he opened the eyes of the youth in his country to the tyranny that Russia was subjected to at the hands of the brutal Tsardom.
