"Constance married an officer when he returned from the battlefield to spend a month in rest and relaxation. They spent that honeymoon in joy, contentment, and pleasure. Then the husband returned to the battlefield, only to be wounded six months later and transported to his home with a torn body! At that time, Constance was a young, helpless woman. She is over twenty-three.
