Lost World (Novel)
Über das eBook
Baker Street in London is one of the most famous addresses in the world, and its fame is due to the fact that it was the residence of the detective Sherlock Holmes in the well-known series of novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the admiration for which reached such an extent that people forgot that Sherlock Holmes was originally an imaginary fictional character, that is, an unreal person. Therefore, he did not live at this address or at any other, and some still believe that this character is real, and find its origins in a real person named Benjamin Bell, who was a forensic doctor for whom Conan Doyle worked as a clerk at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
One of Conan Doyle's strengths as an author is his description of London, which seems very real to the reader. Much of this is due to his detailed knowledge of the city and the strength of his observation. Most of the famous locations in the Sherlock Holmes books are in London, and Sherlock Holmes fans love to visit those locations that were mentioned in the books as well as those that were later used in the films. Sherlock Holmes' ability to solve problems and the power of observation are due to this doctor. Bell was summoned by the police to participate in investigations, just as Sherlock Holmes did.
