Über das eBook

The Moroccan novelist Mohamed Ezzedine Tazi is considered one of the pioneers of the experimental Arabic novel, in terms of artistic structure and content. This novel is based on black satire, which transforms fictional events into satirical productions. It is not based on traditional unity and cohesion, but is divided into sub-narratives. These branching narratives are what constitute, as a whole, the novel, which consists of seven chapters, with one topic: the rumor that says that a man working as a nurse in a mental institution named Abdul Rahim Al-Azraq has turned into a dwarf? But each chapter has its narrator, its narrative form, its way of dealing with the topic, and its goals in doing so.
In this artistic form, the narrative text disintegrates and multiplies. The single narrator has been erased, leaving room for the character's exposed consciousness. The character no longer only performs the function of "action," but rather takes the initiative to speak and tell, highlighting his position, motives, doubts, and questions, addressing the topic from his point of view.
