Über das eBook

This book presents an important topic for the Arab reader, related to post-colonial literature, this literary genre that discusses issues related to an era in our modern history, which is silent about despite the large number of books that documented it, which is the colonial era with all the plundering of wealth, impoverishment, killing and displacement that took place in it. The colonial role in the peripheral countries of the Arab world.
Its topic is further determined by the crimes of colonialism in the countries of the peripheries, especially in the Horn of Africa region, and we take the state of Somalia as an example, as it has become a tragic model state (or a failure, as they say) and has created a term in political literature bearing the name "Somalization" in reference to the fate of Somalia now. The concept of post-colonial literature, its most prominent issues, and its cultural and linguistic interactions are discussed, and then it is exposed to the life and creativity of one of its most famous figures, the Somali novelist Nur al-Din Farah, through a discussion of one of the novels of his latest trilogy.
The critical vision relied on a strategy guided by the mechanisms of the narrative approach, and dealt positively with cultural criticism to determine what distinguishes the cultural structure in Somali society, which consists of many tributaries: Arab, Islamic, and African, in addition to the subjective feeling that fills the collective consciousness of what is called Greater Somalia, in addition to the social dimensions. And the societal characteristics that events indicate, and it also details the psychological formation of characters.
