Especially since the population in the Arab world will rise from 436 million people in 2020 to 792 million people in 2050 AD, even though the Arab world is achieving self-sufficiency in some agricultural commodities. Such as vegetables, fruits, fish, and potatoes, but it suffers from a relative deficit in some other commodities.
The study aims to analyze the Arab reality in the field of agricultural production, especially the weak rates of self-sufficiency in the field of agricultural commodity production, with the aim of treating the current imbalance and developing strengths, in addition to analyzing the problem of water scarcity. To achieve optimal exploitation of available water resources and develop the marine economy in the field of food production.
The study seeks to anticipate the future. In light of the growth in Arab and global demand for food, due to growth, and analyzing the possibilities of a decline in agricultural production due to climate change; The effects of this on the decline in rains and the destruction of some agricultural products, in order to confront the threat of famines that threaten the Arab world in the future.
