Lawrence and the Arabs
Über das eBook
In early June of the year 1916, when the civilized world was a flame of fire engaged in a war the likes of which had never been known in history, a young Englishman traveled from Egypt to Jeddah via the port of Mecca on the shores of the Red Sea. This trip was a means of contacting him with the Arabs who had been in revolt against the Turks since Then, until the great war ended, in the year 1918, that young Englishman, Thomas Edward Lawrence (who was later known as Colonel Lawrence), was the right hand of King Hussein and his sons: Faisal, Zaid, Abdullah, and Ali in that revolution that was the reason for the defeat of the Turks. In all the Arab countries, which were at least the pebble that helped tip the scales in the war, victory went to the Allies, and frowned upon Austria, Germany, and Turkey.
