The poetry of Muhammad Al-Fitouri... vision and formation
Über das eBook
The richness and maturity of the Sufi experience in Arabic poetry, and the fertility of the human issues it addressed, had a great impact in attracting Arab poets to it. Although Sufism is a large, general trend, each of the poets has his own Sufism, determined by reasons related to the poet's life and his great direction in poetry. Muhammad al-Fitouri's Sufism is a deep sadness tinged with emotional failure and a sense of alienation.
Perhaps the experience was of a special nature, dating back to the poet's early upbringing, especially if we know that Al-Fitouri's father was one of the men of the Sufi orders. "Since his early childhood, the sounds of drums and tambourines were trembling in his ears, and human bodies were trembling before his eyes, dancing in harmonious dances.
After the poet emptied himself towards Africa and its issues, the poet found in himself another source that is almost inexhaustible: it is the Sufi helper. Sufism, as it is "an organized colonization of a spiritual experience," was the magic door through which Al-Fitouri entered another facet of his authentic and pioneering poetic experience.
