Über das eBook

This is a collection of research, each of which was devoted by Dr. Muhammad Mandour to one of our modern Arab critics, since the era of the literary renaissance that began in our Arab world in the late nineteenth century, with a return to our ancient Arab heritage.
Since the art of poetic poetry, or what Europeans call the art of lyric poetry, is the backbone of our ancient Arab heritage; It was natural for this art to account for the greatest effort of the men of the resurrection period, and for its criticism to account for a similar share, even after our connections with international literature began to become more close, deeper, and penetrating to the core rather than the peel. All of this is reflected in poetry and criticism together, and the critical battles revolve around the ancient. And adhering to its limits, and to the newness influenced by Western literature, culture, and artistic and critical philosophies, as the reader can see through these researches, most of which were criticism of poetry and critics, while the new arts of literature, which we took their origins from the West, did not receive any references to criticizing them except when talking about the two critics. The only two who were exposed to some of these arts, such as the art of story and the art of play, are Dr. Louis Awad and Professor Yahya Haqqi.
