However, the most important results of these conquests were that Ismail was able to send several scientific missions to central Africa and its remote areas, and the far eastern coasts of the Indian Ocean. To carry out various explorations in different fields, the sciences behind them were enriched and their scope increased in breadth, and at the same time he raised the status of his country to a brilliant level.
This is in addition to his great care for knowledge, education, and the intellectual movement, and the kinds of honor and encouragement he bestowed on their masters and leaders that had not been seen from any other Eastern monarch since the days of the great Abbasids and the great Fatimids.
