Über das eBook

The novel "Men of God" is one of the last works of novelist Pearl Buck. She is exposed to the problem of the constant struggle between faith and power. She published it for the first time in 1951, and it is considered one of her most widespread and socially profound novels. Its events extend from China to America to England, and over a time extending from the Boxer Uprising in China or the Yihe Tuan Movement, which is an uprising that China witnessed against imperialism, against foreign intervention, and against Christianity. Between the years 1899 and 1901, Pearl Beck created forty novels, which she began with the publication of "The East Wind," which she wrote during her second trip to America, then she followed it with the novel "The West Wind" in the year 1930. In the following year she published the novel "The Good Earth," and then she followed it in the year 1932 with the novel "Children."
Throughout her literary career, Pearl Beck continued to give lectures, whether in China, the United States, or Britain, some selections from which were printed in three volumes, and two volumes were later printed that included short stories she wrote, as well as four books she wrote specifically for children. She founded the East-West Association and assumed its presidency, and its goal is to bring Easterners and Westerners closer together.
