Architecture is the art of building designs perceived by sense and feeling, and its goal is to fulfill the purpose and fitness for use, with the beauty of the view, and the style or style is the architectural form or character that was taken into account when studying the design to be in the style or shape of buildings built in a specific country and era, and the beauty of the ratio between the architectural elements or units. It is the soul of this art, and it is its observance that gives the building its frank beauty.
In ancient (classical) architecture, style is a term given to the use of a type of column that indicates the proportionality of its parts. If we mean style, we find that it includes a broader meaning, because it refers to architecture that flourished in the rule of a country in its golden age or in a famous country and a known time. If we look and contemplate several buildings that were built in one era and study them, we feel that there is a clear similarity in their layout and a commonality in the factors used to decorate them, since the means of living in the era were the same. We notice the difference that this similarity and those factors cause between the eras in which these buildings were built, and we realize that each era has its own character. A special thing that distinguishes it from other eras, which is what we call style, to the extent that it is permissible to say: "Architecture is a flag of the era and the state," and it is not permissible to use any decoration except that which is consistent with the spirit of the style.
We also see that every architect has a special spirit in his design that is different from others, meaning that he has his own character that we know by.
