There are many types of story arts, including myths, epics, plays, the long story, and the short story. Then the long and short stories are divided into several sections, some of which deal with an incident in history or one of its heroes, and some of which deal with love, humor, or adventure of all kinds. Some of them deal with crime, scientific issues, and psychological analysis, some of them are detective stories that revolve around thieves and the pursuit of them by men of justice, and some of them are taken from reality and tell stories of funny cases presented in courthouses whose facts are sometimes stranger than fiction.
This book includes selections from the world's stories, conveying a vivid picture of each writer's story in a way that reflects his style and spirit.
