Alfred de Musset's plays are the closest thing to poetry in their style, and in their lyrical approach, which every poet's soul rejoices in. Moreover, they combine the delicate poetic spirit with a sense of humor that is gentle at times and biting at other times, and they all carry a lot of Alfred de Musset's personality and his own emotions. Every time he talks about love, we imagine, and even have a clear feeling, that he is talking about his own feelings.
This book includes, along with the play "Marianne's Freaks," three of his nights that he organized following his calamity in his love for George Sand. The translator chose these three nights in particular because he wrote them in the form of a dialogue between him as a poet and "Al-Miz," the goddess of poetry, so that the reader himself would realize the unity of metal. Between Musée's prose theater and his poetry, his theater is even called lyric theatre.
