Shajarat al-Durr

This story talks about "Shajarat al-Durr," the famous queen in history, who ruled Egypt in the middle of the seventh century AH (thirteenth century AD). Some historians consider her the last king of the Ayyubid state. Some consider her the first Mamluk sultan.
Shajarat al-Durr - or Shajar al-Durr as mentioned in some histories - is a very famous name in the history of Egypt. Indeed, she is considered the most famous woman in this history, for several reasons: among them: she is the first woman and the last woman to assume the throne of Islamic Egypt, so we do not know of a woman before her or after her. From the beginning of the era of Islam until today - she assumed the throne of this country. She orders, rules, appoints and deposes, directs armies to war, signs peace treaties, appoints ministers, appoints brigades for commanders, her name is engraved on dirhams and dinars, and supplications are made for her on pulpits in mosques.
