Regarding the relationship between clouds and aviation, the book states that flight plans are made on the basis of recovery from entering clouds, which is considered a major risk due to the increased risk of collision and the difficulty of navigation. The observer can infer from the shapes of the clouds what the weather is expected to be like in the near future. The aircraft pilot must also compare his cloud observations with the information provided to him by the flight notice.
