The most famous speeches and famous preachers
Über das eBook
The eyes of the speeches that were preserved by history were few and far between; Because the sermon is pronounced by the orator in front of the crowd, and he lends to it an abundance of his personality in terms of the fluency of the tongue, the agility of the movement, and the loudness of the voice, these qualities are lost if the historian presents them while he is alone, sitting in the quiet of his library. Because in this state, he directs his mind to a creation that he did not intend to confront the mind, and he sees in the brilliance of what the gathered people, in the ecstasy of their emotions, thought was pure essence.
In this book, the author collected some of the speeches that historians were satisfied with and that endured their scrutiny, so they recorded them and preserved them. It was divided into two parts: The first: contains speeches by Arabs, and the second: contains speeches by Europeans, ancient and modern. The author prefaced each sermon with a brief translation of the preacher.
The author cited these sermons in their original texts, and the reader may find that some of them contradict the spirit of the present era, but they prove their historical value.
