Illusion...an imaginary myth
Über das eBook
"Edward Spencer Coles" - the author of this book - was born in New York City in 1879. He worked as a doctor. He was twenty-eight years old at the time. He continued his studies until he became a psychologist and professor of psychiatry at American universities. He was director of the Nervous and Mental Hospital in New York, and was dean. To the Academy of Medicine and Sciences of New York University.
He has written in-depth works that address psychological, neurological, and mental illnesses, addiction, and emotional disorders. The Arab reader knows him through two famous books translated into Arabic: "Do not be afraid" and "Know yourself." The third is the book "Illusion" that we have in our hands, and it is one of his most important books. The idea for the book came from his observation that most people had become depressed and confused, as if they were carrying heavy burdens on their shoulders. So he thought about the matter, asking: "What is the reason for this?" Happiness has disappeared? Has psychological calm and reassurance become an imaginary myth that cannot be achieved? Is humanity doomed to live in misery? Then what is the meaning of life with despair and what is the purpose? To live in worries?
