Über das eBook

Memory constitutes the regulating thread between the chapters of the second literary work of its kind by the daughter of the city of Tangier, Nassima Al-Rawi, titled "Teatro Cervantes," in a way in which recalling the past turns into a means of resisting erasure and repairing brokenness. On the one hand, the narrator (Ahlam), as stated in the presentation of the first narrative work of this young and promising creator, resorts to the method of stripping to remove the ambiguity of what burdens memory, whether individual or collective, while Cervantine's theater turns into a symbol that contains the contradictions of the self and society, contradictions that were formed in In the context of political transformations that affected human values and relations. The novel, published by Al-Ain Publishing and Distribution House in Cairo, presents a number of dualities such as past and present, madness and reason, loyalty. Betrayal, stability and collapse, what the self experienced and what it did not experience; These are contradictions that we derive from the nature of the conflict taking place throughout the chapters of the novel. Therefore, the narrating novel (Ahlam) presents itself in its dramatic character. She is a girl who graduated from the university with disabilities in the soul and body, and from the mental hospital with memory impairments, to use the narrative as a means of reconstructing her own history and the history of modern Morocco, while her friend Murad symbolizes the dreams of the left. And its refractions and transformation into opposites.
This special history, in which the writer wandered within an urban extension that is Tangier, was formulated because the novel kept pace with the transformation of the city and its landmarks, and how capitalism took over the city and changed its features, while the cultural institutions collapsed, so the novel reduced the city's transformations to the symbolism of a theater on the verge of collapse.
It is noteworthy that the Moroccan poet and novelist Nassima Al-Rawi participated in the poker workshop in Abu Dhabi. She holds a diploma in postgraduate studies specializing in marketing and international trade from the National School of Commerce and Management from Abdelmalek Saadi University in Tangier.
