Copts of Egypt... history and issue
Über das eBook
One people lives on the land of Egypt, consisting of a majority that believes in Islam, and a minority represented by the Copts that believes in Christianity. The terms majority and minority here refer to the numerical ratio. Because the Copts, as a religious minority, do not constitute a racial, ethnic, ethnic, or linguistic minority. This is what distinguished the people of Egypt with a high degree of cohesion, since the Arab-Islamic civilization interacted with the civilization of the countries that entered its circle, and this civilization gave and took away. The ties of integration were not severed, even in those historical eras in which the Copts were subjected to restrictions or procedures. Of a severe or pervasive discriminatory nature. After the majority of Egyptians converted to Islam, and after Arabic became the language of everyone, the Copts continued to be linked to the general cultural pattern of their larger society. As for their subculture, it was primarily centered in its various material and intellectual manifestations around everything related to their religious belief and the components of their worship. The study addresses some of the problems related to issues of integration between Muslims and Copts. Then it ends with an attempt to present elements of a future vision.
