Über das eBook
This novel is one of a series of historical novels written by the poet Ali Al-Jarim, whose hero is the poet "Abu Firas Al-Hamdani," who said about his poetry Al-Sahib bin Abbad: Poetry begins with a king, and ends with a king, meaning Imru' Al-Qays and Abu Firas.
Abu Firas al-Hamdani, a poet and one of the princes of the Hamdanid state, a contemporary of al-Mutanabbi. He was raised by his cousin Sayf al-Dawla in Aleppo after his father's early death. He grew up as a knight and a poet, and began defending his cousin's emirate against Roman attacks. In times of peace, he used to participate in literature councils, discussing poets and competing with them. Then Sayf al-Dawla appointed him to the province of Manbij, so he governed it well and defended it.
This novel deals with the story of the knightly poet's love for "Najla Al-Khalidiyah," one of the beautiful girls in the prince's palace, and how his love for her ignited the fire of jealousy of the army commander, who was competing with him in her love, so he sought to get rid of him and plot conspiracies against him, until the arena was empty for him, in order to win Najla's heart. Events take place and Abu Firas is captured by the Romans in one of the battles, but he escapes captivity. Will the love story of the poet and prince succeed and triumph over the conspiracies?
