Philosophy in the East

Although ancient civilization reached its zenith in Greece, it was born and grew in the East. We know today that in the era when the Greeks were nothing but ignorant people and barbarians, there were brilliant and flourishing civilizations on the banks of the Nile and in the plains of Chaldea.
