Rays of Fine Arts

The arts are a gift that God bestows upon some of those who practice them until they acquire mastery and brilliance in them, provided that whoever perseveres in studying and practicing attains a share of the artistic spirit in proportion to his diligence.
Aristotle mentioned that the brilliant painter Zeuxis, who lived about four hundred years before the birth of Christ, used to quote from every beautiful woman of his time what distinguished her from others, and then create from the sum of what he chose the required images. He drew in this way the image of Helena, the daughter of Jupiter, and his drawing was a miracle. In beauty and creativity, and this is what the two examples did in making the statue of Venus, the Greek god of beauty.
