Preparing Lessons

The book in our hands is one of the pioneering books in its field. Its authors are one of the British, "George Henry Green," a professor of psychology, and the other an Egyptian, "Mohamed Khairy Harbi," a teacher of foundations of education. They worked together as teachers at the Institute of Higher Education for Teachers, in the forties of the last century.
The authors of the book did not address their students, but rather they addressed with their book another group of people who actually practice the teaching profession in some schools without having any previous experience with the knowledge or training that this profession requires. He proceeds in his work in light of the success or failure he encounters in his experiences.
The authors add: "In the chapters of this book we try to clarify the type of thinking that a teacher should do if he wants to succeed in his work. The lesson preparation memorandum is nothing but a record of his thinking about the subject he is teaching, the method he follows in reorganizing the material, and the method he proposes to use with the students whose teaching and upbringing he is entrusted with."
