This book is one of the most famous works of Professor Ordwhite, who is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Higher Education in New York City and the former President of the American Association for the Advancement of Management. He has written many books in various fields of management. The author argues that the science and art of management depend, in terms of their human relationship, on the comprehensive concept of the nature of the human self that the administrative leader possesses.
The author's interest was focused on forming the idea that the history of modern industrial society will be a record of the outcome of administrative and practical life in its impact on every human soul. As a means of action and control, responsibility and accountability, management holds promise for shaping organizational health in ways that are increasingly conducive to personal health. Management contributes to creating happier personalities in a more orderly, secure, and freer society, which proves the validity of the idea that democratic goals contribute to innovation and self-realization.
