Jabir ibn Hayyan and his successors
Über das eBook
The most knowledgeable person in Islam, an authority in chemistry, and a pure and pure soul that was attached to the principle of Sufism and imbued with faith... This is Abu Musa Jaber bin Hayyan. He has a good impact on science, a solid footing in research, and a wealth of writing, known both in the East and in the West.
The Franks wanted to raise his memory and immortalize his name, so they imagined an image of him from which the light of wisdom radiated. Its first appearance was in a booklet written by the scholar Holmyard, professor of chemistry at Clifton College in England. He called him "Famous Alchemists." They placed a crown of crosses on his turban, as if they wanted to attribute him to Christianity or beautify him with the holiest signs of greatness they had. Jaber's name is seen on the left side of the picture.
At the top of the picture was engraved a sentence in Latin with obscure features due to its ancient history, and it is believed to contain a description of one of Jabir's famous operations. On the tape extending on the right side is written a sentence that is believed to be a quote from Jabir: "God and nature did not make anything in vain."
