The effects of the civilization of the Pharaohs on our current lives

We do not know of a people in the entire world who are more conservative in their traditions and customs than the Egyptian people. Egypt has gone through different periods of history that changed the country's language and religion several times, but the successive invasions could not change anything of the traditions and appearances that the people inherited.
It may be possible that the thousands of Greeks and Arabs who settled in the country were able to make a small impact in the large cities in which they settled collectively, but the rest of the country, which includes thousands of villages, remained preserved in its established Egyptianness and ancient traditions without any deficiency or influence. The current farmer still resembles his ancestors who lived four thousand years ago.
