Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah al-Fatimi and the construction of the city of Cairo

The late writer Ibrahim Jalal was passionate about history, especially the history of Islamic Egypt. He presented books that dealt with the events of history and presented them to the general reader in a smooth manner. The book "Al-Mu'izz Lidin Allah the Fatimid, and the Construction of the City of Cairo," published in its first edition in 1963, was one of the fruits of this dual passion for history on the one hand and for the personality of Al-Mu'izz Lidin Allah on the other hand. The author treated this exceptional historical figure in a book that was first published in 1944 under the title "Al-Mu'izz Lidin Allah Al-Fatimi", then he returned to it twenty years later to link the character with his most important achievements, which was "The Construction of the City of Cairo", so that the new title of the book in its form that coincided with the celebrations of the millennium of the city of Cairo became "Al-Mu'izz Lidin Allah Al-Fatimi and the Construction of the City of Cairo."
