Thinking is an Islamic obligation

One of the many advantages of the Qur'an is a clear advantage in which there is less disagreement between Muslims and non-Muslims. Because it is proven from the recitation of the verses in a way that is supported by the numbers of the account and the meanings of the simple words, before returning its support to the discussions and schools of thought in which opinions may differ...
That advantage is mentioning the mind, and relying on it in the matter of belief, and the matter of following and enjoining... The Holy Qur'an does not mention the mind except in a position of veneration and warning of the necessity of acting upon it and returning to it, and the reference to it is neither casual nor brief in the context of the verse; Rather, it comes in every place, emphasizing and conclusive in wording and connotation, and is repeated in every instance of command and prohibition in which the believer is urged to exercise his mind, or the denier is blamed for neglecting his mind and accepting interdiction against him.
