Bernard Shaw grew up in the last half of the nineteenth century, an era with many landmarks and many phases in the fields of public life, but in each field it is characterized by a visible feature that surrounds or indicates what is around it, and these apparent features are sufficient to depict the "cultural lining" with which Shaw's upbringing was linked, and to which were linked - and thus - the sources of his literature and the rules of his thinking.
In the field of natural science, the idea of ​​evolution prevailed with its various doctrines, the most important of which were Lamarck's doctrine and Darwin's doctrine. In the field of ethics, psychological studies topics prevailed, and their application to social issues such as crime and the spirit of society, and to sexual issues such as the nature of women and the interpretation of morality in general by apparent and hidden sexual instincts.
