Islam between Science and Civilization

Religion is a divine position, and its teacher and caller to it are human beings. The minds receive it from the missionaries and the warners. It is attributed to those whom God did not single out for revelation, and was transmitted from them through communication, study, teaching, and indoctrination. For all nations, it is the first thing that blends with the hearts and takes root in the hearts. The souls are imbued with its beliefs and the faculties and habits that follow, and the bodies are trained in the deeds that resulted from it, great and low, so it has authority over thoughts and what He submits to it in terms of determinations and wills. He is the authority of the soul and its guide to what it manages its body, and it is as if man in his inception is a polished slab and the first thing on which the outline of religion is written. Then he is sent to all actions with his call and guidance. Whatever happens to souls from other things is only rare and abnormal, even the attributes. Rather, his nature remains in him like the trace of a wound on the skin after it heals.
