Al-Samawal

He is the Samawal...the poet and scholar who converted to Islam and embarked on a journey in search of truth. He read history and Islamic sciences, excelled in medicine and mathematics, navigated the world of knowledge, and was convinced that Islam is the religion of truth and human freedom.
This genius poet looks at the strange reality of life, where palaces rise and huts appear next to them. There are the rich and there are the poor. Where does the meaning of life and time come from? He stands in regret and sorrow and says:
The earth has no meaning, people have no meaning, meaning has no meaning. I told him to inherit me after death, and here I am, stabbing with a love that I inherit. What time is this, uprooting the rose while it is preparing its thorn for perfume, and leaving thorns that absorb the blood of joy?! What time is this! Uprooting the truth from the root and leaving the injustice of darkness behind? What time will it take to destroy the smile of a child in order to build palaces of stone and sand on top of its ribs?
