The House of Certain Death

In one of the neighborhoods of Old Cairo, inside a house on the verge of collapse, we meet people who were rejected by society and decided to circumvent it in order to survive. There are the fraudsters, the qardati, the unemployed, and the cantaloupe seller who refuses to sell anything other than cantaloupes despite the short season and prefers to remain unemployed for the rest of the year. There is a lot of marital infidelity, hashish sessions, and other social ills.
Thus, we find that it is not only the house that is on the verge of collapse, but also its residents, and therefore everyone is waiting for an earthquake that will undermine this dilapidated structure. Perhaps everyone will wake up to it or take them into the unknown.
