Men on the moon
Über das eBook
This novel is considered one of the pioneering classic works in the world of science fiction, and has been translated under several titles such as "The First Men on the Moon" or "The First Humans on the Moon." With his imaginative genius, Herbert George Wells was ahead of his time, opening the doors of literature to space adventures before science could catch up. His French colleague Jules Verne, author of novels such as "From the Earth to the Moon" (1865 AD) and "Around the Moon" (1870 AD), participated in laying the foundation for what is now known as "space literature" or "science fiction literature."
The novel's events center around a bold idea: traveling to the moon, not only to visit it, but to try to settle on it and cultivate it. Although this dream seemed impossible in light of twentieth-century knowledge, Wells was among the first to envision the possibility of communicating with outer space, a fantasy that he later completed in his famous novel "The War of the Worlds," which tells the story of a Martian invasion of Earth.
With his exciting style and bold futuristic ideas, Wells excelled in imagining worlds beyond Earth, arousing the amazement and admiration of successive generations and making his mark as one of the greatest pioneers of science fiction.
